Al Wusta Fisheries Industries LLC has been established as part of Oman’s desire to further develop the Fisheries sector in the Sultanate towards 2040. As such, Al Wusta Fisheries Industries LLC is tasked to raise production from the pelagic fish stocks that abound in Oman’s coastal waters and the Indian Ocean, hence the creation of the main trading name of “Oman Pelagic”.

Oman Pelagic’s operations will focus on the development of the horse mackerel stocks along Oman’s coast in the Arabian Sea and skipjack, yellowfin and big eye tuna in the Indian Ocean.

of Agriculture and Fisheries promoting the sustainable exploitation of Oman’s precious Fisheries resources for the benefit of future generations in Oman, extending the maritime heritage of Oman’s fishermen and fisherfolk.

About Oman:
The Sultanate of Oman has a long maritime history as a trading nation between Eastern Africa, the Indian sub-continent and the Arabian Gulf states. Oman’s 3,165 kilometre coastline gives Omani fishermen access to both the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea and a wide range of both demersal and pelagic fish species.
